The Dorian Awards Name PARASITE Best Picture

The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics, comprised of 260 mainly U.S. journalists covering film and television, has named its final-round choices for 2019’s finest movies, television, performances and more across a host of mainstream and LGBTQ-focused categories. 

This year’s Dorian Awards belongs to Parasite with five wins including Best Director, Bong Joon-ho, Film of the Year, Director, and Screenplay. 2019 has turned out to be a great year for Renée Zellweger as she claimed another Best Actress award (Performance of the Year—Actress) for her work in Judy.  Antonio Banderas received Film Performance of the Year — Actor for Pain and Glory. The Dorians awarded diversity with a supporting Actress win for Jennifer Lopez in Hustlers and the Supporting Actor award went to Song Kang-ho for Parasite. Finally, Dorian Awards Wilde Artist of the Year, Olivia Wilde’s Booksmart was names Unsung Film of the Year.
