So, whether you choose to check out that indie you heard so much about or the latest big studio release, don’t forget to click on the movie title below to view the trailer. We want to make sure you know what you are getting into before you head to the theater.

Cesar Chavez

Cesar Chavez: An American Hero

Cesar Chavez: An American Hero is directed by Diego Luna (director of Abel, star of The Terminal, Y Tu Mamá También) and written by Keir Pearson (Hotel Rwanda). Michael Peña leads the film as ’60s and ’70s labor activist Cesar E. Chavez as he organizes the largest non-violent protest in U.S. history to get basic human rights for over 50,000 farm workers in California. It looks like a great performance from Peña. A Haunted House 2

A Haunted House 2

A Haunted House 2 is directed by Michael Tiddes and written by Rick Alvarez and Marlon Wayans (White Chicks), who also stars in the horror spoof. Malcolm (Wayans), after exorcising the demons of his ex, is starting fresh with his new girlfriend and her two children. After moving into their dream home, Malcolm is once again plagued by bizarre paranormal events. Every now and then we need to be reminded just how terrible some movies can be, that way we’re thankful for the really good ones.

Noah

Noah

In Darren Aronofsky’s take on the Biblical tale, Noah (Russell Crowe) suffers visions of an apocalyptic deluge, and takes measures to protect his family from the coming flood. Darren Aronofsky & Ari Handel wrote the script and cast includes Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Hopkins. This looks gorgeous, intense and just plain spectacular! I hope I’m not wrong.

The Raid 2 (Limited)

The Raid 2Berandal

The highly anticipated sequel The Raid 2Berandal, takes place two hours after the ending of The Raid. This badass martial arts film looks like it might be packed with more insanely awesome action than the first movie, but hopefully the story is interesting as well. The Raid 2: Berandal is written and directed by Welsh born filmmaker Gareth Evans who also directed the first film. The film features our lead character Rama (Uwais) going undercover and infiltrating the ranks of a ruthless Jakarta crime syndicate in order to protect his family and uncover the corruption in his own police force.

Sabotage

Sabotage

He’s back baby! Sabotage follows an elite DEA task force that deals with the world’s deadliest drug cartels. Specializing in complex mobile operations, the team executes a tactical raid on a cartel safe house. What looks to be a typical raid turns out to be an elaborate theft operation, pre-planned by the DEA squad. After hiding millions in stolen cash, the team believes their secret is safe – until someone begins assassinating them one by one.
