May 16th: The real Mrs. Jim Halpert, Emily Blunt, is in talks to join Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp and possibly Chris Pine and Jake Gyllenhaal for director Rob Marshall’s adaptation of Into the Woods. The big screen adaptation of Stephen Sodheim’s famed musical is, if I’ve got this right, about a bunch of stuff that happens in the woods. Or maybe on the way to the woods? I’m not sure. May 15th: The trailer for the third and aptly named Riddick film has been released, a threequel to sleeper hit Pitch Black and high-profile bomb Chronicles of Riddick. May 14th: In an op-ed piece in this week’s New York Times, Angelina Jolie, one of the most famous women in the world, announced that she had recently undergone a double mastectomy after genetic tests revealed she was positive for the BRCA 1 gene, strongly increasing her chances of developing breast cancer.
