Sadly days are getting shorter, fall is around the corner but so is a rich crop of fall movies. Now don’t be mistaken, we still have a few block busters to contend with Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, The Transporter Refueled and add a bit horror to that with The Visit, Green Inferno and Before I Wake to help bring summer to a close. Bringing in the fall we have a couple boomer comedies A Walk in the Woods, The Intern and a few indies; 99 Homes, Black Mass and the IMAX / 3D event The Walk. So whether you choose to checkout that indie movie you’ve heard so much about, or the latest big studio release, don’t forget to click on the movie title below to view the trailer. We want to make sure you know what you are getting into before you head to the theater.

Synopsis: The true story of Whitey Bulger, the brother of a state senator and the most infamous violent criminal in the history of South Boston, who became an FBI informant to take down a Mafia family invading his turf.
Our Two Cents: We’ve seen plenty of trailers for this already, so we all should know what to expect at this point, but n Depp as Bulger, looks pretty good.
Captive
Stars: Kate Mara, David Oyelowo, Michael Kenneth Williams
Directed By: Jerry Jameson
Synopsis: A recovering drug addict, who is a single mother, is taken by surprise when an escaped murderer takes her hostage.
Our Two Cents: I’ll watch David Oyelowo in anything.
Everest

Synopsis: A climbing expedition on Mt. Everest is devastated by a severe snow storm.
Our Two Cents: Thriller based on the real story of a climb up Mount Everest gone bad… I’m all over it.
Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials
Stars: Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster
Directed By: Wes Ball
Synopsis: After having escaped the Maze, the Gladers now face a new set of challenges on the open roads of a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles.
Our Two Cents: Tons of explosions, post-apocalyptic landscapes, zombie creature things, kids disrespecting adults – what more could you want?
Pawn Sacrifice (Limited)
Stars: Liev Schreiber, Lily Rabe, Tobey Maguire
Directed By: Edward Zwick
Synopsis: American chess champion Bobby Fischer prepares for a legendary match-up against Russian Boris Spassky.
Our Two Cents: I’m fascinated by the politics and the sport, but also by Bobby Fischer and his mind.
Sicario (Limited)
Stars: Emily Blunt, Jon Bernthal, Josh Brolin
Directed By: Denis Villeneuve
Synopsis: An idealistic FBI agent is enlisted by an elected government task force to aid in the escalating war against drugs at the border area between the U.S. and Mexico.
Our Two Cents: Looks pretty intense!
