2014 had an impressive crop of men who turned in some career high performances. So, it’s no surprise that a few deserving names would be left off the list of Best Actor Oscar nominees, but for his performance in Selma as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, David Oyelowo seemed a sure bet. His relatable, honest, and human portrayal of MLK deserves recognition and the words, “. . . and the nominees are.”
