MoviefiedNYC is heading to New York Comic Con 2014! Every year NYCC gets bigger and bigger, and there’s no shortage of panels, events, and guests to choose from. Honestly, we wish we had a Time Turner to be able to see them all. In an attempt to help you parse through the abundance of choices, we at MoviefiedNYC have put together our most anticipated events this year. We hope to see you at a few of them!

A panel celebrating six decades of one of the biggest pop culture icons of all time, Godzilla. From his atomic inception in 1954 to the brand new film from Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures, Godzilla is beloved by Fans and recognized by people the world over. Come and join us as we discuss the past, present, and future of Japan’s biggest Mon-Star!

NYCC might actually end up being the biggest comics convention in North America after attendance figures were finalized for 2013. The convention pulled in over 130,000 people, which would put it squarely within SDCC-territory. New York Comic Con will feature the latest and greatest entertainment, comics, gaming, anime, manga, screenings and more!

Doctor Who Fan Screening with BBC America
Sat. October 11| 8:15 PM – 9:15 PM | Empire Stage 1-E 

BBC America presents its first ever Doctor Who Fan screening at New York Comic Con with the new episode “Mummy On The Orient Express.” The episode, written by Jamie Mathieson (Being Human, Dirk Gently) and directed by Emmy-winning Director Paul Wilmshurst, will be shown to Fans at NYCC ahead of its premiere on BBC America. The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) and Clara (Jenna Coleman) are on the most beautiful train in history speeding among the stars of the future. But a deadly creature is stalking the passengers. Once you see the horrifying Mummy you only have 66 seconds to live. No exceptions, no reprieve. As the Doctor races against the clock Clara sees him at his deadliest and most ruthless. Will he work out how to defeat the Mummy? Start the clock! Guest Stars in the episode include Frank Skinner, Foxes and David Bamber. Doctor Who premieres on Saturdays at 9:00 PM ET on BBC America.

Birdman hits theatres in November, and this panel offers a unique look into what is sure to be an incredible feature. Starring Michael Keaton in the titular role, the guests will discuss the making of an epic tale about an ageing star – once famous for playing a superhero – as he tries to revive his career

Cary Elwes Discusses the Making of the Princess Bride

Carl Elwes is at NYCC to promote his new book As You Wish, a collection of stories and photographs from his days making The Princess Bride. This panel will be simply exquisite, not just because it’s one of my favorite movies, but also because his is a truly unique and and gripping mode of storytelling.

Walt Disney Studios Present an EXCLUSIVE look at Big Hero 6 and Tomorrowland

This panel gives not only an exclusive look into Disney’s largest movies coming out in the next yer complete with unseen slips, but also offers attendees the opportunity to question great animators like Brad Bird in the flesh.

An Evening with the Cast of Star Trek The Next Generation

The epic cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation reunite on a rare occasion to participate in a discussion/Q&A on their legendary series. Tickets are pretty expensive and hard to come buy, but with William Shatner moderating (yes, you read that right) it is absolutely worth it.

Not just one or even two, but three separate panels celebrating Sailor Moon, the beloved and influential anime. Members of the VIZ Media Sailor Moon team will be there to discuss the series, show footage from the newly remastered series, and talk about the new series!
