Last night the winners for the 2013 Gotham Independent Awards were announced. The Coen brother’s Inside Llewyn Davis won best feature, while Fruitvale Station picked up two awards including Breakthrough Director (Ryan Coogler) and Breakthrough Actor (Michael B. Jordan). Brie Larson was a happy surprise in the Best Actress category beating out this year’s “lock in” favorite Cate Blanchett. Could this be a good sign for Larson? Might we see her name listed in some of the bigger awards nominations? Here are the complete list of winners.
