Media For Brunch: INVESTIGATE. EXPOSE. CHANGE. – Human Rights Watch Film Festival

At MoviefiedNYC we love our foreign films, blockbusters, documentaries, you name it and we firmly believe that film is a transformative medium. So when the opportunity presents itself to promote a festival that is truly trying to change the world through film how can we resist.

Through  the Human Rights Watch Film Festival in New York, June 13 -23 we bear-witness to human rights violations and create a forum for courageous individuals on both sides of the lens to empower audiences with the knowledge that personal commitment can make a difference.
The film festival brings human rights abuses to life through storytelling in away that challenges each individual to empathize and demand justice for all.

Human Rights Watch is one of the world’s leading independent organisations dedicated to
defending and protecting human rights. By focusing international attention where human
rights are violated,we give voice to the oppressed and hold oppressors accountable for
their crimes. Our rigorous, objective investigations and strategic, targeted advocacy build
intense pressure for action and raise the cost of human rights abuse.

Co-presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center and IFC Center
