Lumière and Company (1995)
For the 1995 100th anniversary celebration of the Lumière brothers’ first film, thirty-nine directors from around the world including: Michael Haneke, Abbas Kiarostami, Spike Lee, David Lynch, and Liv Ullmann, where given the challenge to create a short movie, using only a one-minute spool of film and the original hand-cranked Lumière brothers camera. One of the highlights of the collection is this piece by David Lynch.
