Media For Lunch: In Honor of Black Friday

Your entertainment fix in 15 minutes or less.

If you are anything like me, you will not be caught dead near a mall or store (no matter how small) this weekend. So here follows a list of movies, showing how I like to get my shopping fix. – MD

There is a truly classic shopping scene in this one! Julia Roberts sets the standard for countless shopping montages in movies to come.

Clueless (1995)

Oh to be a rich, pretty, high school girl set loose in the mall with daddy’s charge card!

Sex and the City (2008)

This entire movie, its sequel as well as the TV series are all basically a giant advertisement for shopping. In the words of the shopping queens Betty Rubble and Wilma Flintstone: “Charge it.”

This one has got to be, without question, the ultimate shopping movie. If you add up all the shopping montages in all of the above movies, there are still probably more shopping scenes in Confessions of a Shopaholic.
