Last week Adele finally premiered her highly anticipated single,”Skyfall.” The song is the lead single from the upcoming James Bond film of the same name, starring Daniel Craig. I can’t help but wonder where Adele’s “Skyfall” will land on the list of legendary Bond songs. No doubt with its big orchestral style—a 1960s throwback—it is seductive and larger than life. Reminiscent of the work of some of the greats such as such as Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones and Louis Armstrong, Adele’s “Skyfall” will be in very good company.
