Kubrick’s One-Point Perspective
Symmetry in motion! It’s a video montage of scenes from Stanley Kubrick’s movies that highlight the legendary filmmaker’s penchant for the one-point perspective shot.
This perspective focuses on a single vanishing point directly opposite the viewer’s eye. Kubrick used the technique in his films, including 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket and Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. These iconic films are featured in the video. I found this gem on Vimeo uploaded by Kogonada. ~ MD
