Director and writers Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert take viewers on a surreal, confusing, yet crafty, unique journey with Paul Dano as a down-and-out man stranded in the backyard wilderness and his new buddy, a flatulent corpse, played by Daniel Radcliffe. If you like your material literal and concrete, you won’t like this film, but if you have a free and weird imagination this may be the summer escape you’ve been waiting for. It’s a nice break from the humdrum, banal of Tarzan and Independence Day.
